How many of you ever refused to take plastic bags?
The plastic bag which you are using today is going to take more
than 1000 years to decompose. It is not biodegradable. These are
photo-degradable, means a polythene decompose in sun light. But this is a very
slow process. If you assume our average age is 80 years then your 13th
generation will see what type of gift you left for them 1000 years before.
Start saying "No" to plastic bag. For that only you have
to carry your own paper or cloth bag. It will not even reduce uses of plastic
bag, it will also reduce those poisonous contents to get into your body which
these plastic bag contains. Plastic can only be clean by boiling in water,
which is not possible with plastic bags.
Every day I saw people carrying their vegetables and fruits in
these plastic bags. And these shopkeepers never care for giving them plastic
bag. Many times I refused to take plastic bag. I did not refuse
to take plastic bags to them I am concern about environment I am refusing because
I do not want to give my 13th generation these type of gifts.
You can start encouraging your
shopkeeper just saying “no” to plastic bag. So next time show them your own
cloth bag and realize them you are the change.
Please be a part of the change and
say “no” to plastic bag.
